Attendees of the Oracle OpenWorld event that opens in San Francisco this weekend will be able to download news and information from daily podcasts, as well as access live content from Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards at one venue.
The Oracle OpenWorld podcasts, from 17 to 22 September at the Moscone Centre, will deliver news and information about daily themes, enabling attendees to download and store content for future use.
Oracle is one of the first companies to bring podcasting to a conference to provide reference material for attendees as well as reach audiences who may not have been able to attend, says Judy Sim, the company`s senior worldwide marketing VP.
The OracleWorld initiative is an extension of the podcasts already available on the Oracle Technology Network Web site, aimed at developers and database administrators.
About 80 South African Oracle partners and customers are to attend OracleWorld 2005, which will feature a presentation by Johannesburg-based Oracle partner, iFactory.
iFactory subsidiary, mobileObsession, is to debut its m-business solution on the international stage in the hopes of attracting customers as well as distributors among other Oracle partners.
"OpenWorld will be an ideal opportunity to engage with Oracle partners from around the world and canvass for support," says Tony Forbes, iFactory CEO.
