Oracle SA channel director resigns
Deon Els, country channel director at Oracle SA has stepped down from his position and will be at the database software vendor until 28 February 2006, CRN reports.
Although it is not known yet where the Oracle veteran will be heading to, indications are that he will remain within the IT sector.
"I can confirm that I have resigned from Oracle and will be leaving at the end of this month," he says.
10Net ICT Solutions gets new GM
Neil Cosser, previous GM of local distributor 10Net ICT Solutions, has moved onto new business opportunities. The company has appointed Riaan Otto to fill his shoes, ICT World reports.
"Riaan has moved through the ICT industry for more than two decades, giving him invaluable experience and understanding of the market. He also has a vast knowledge of the channel and its nuances and so comes into his new position well prepared. 10Net stands to gain a tremendous amount under Otto`s guidance and leadership," said Crosser.
SCO Group names marketing chief
US-based SCO Group promoted Tim Negris to executive VP of sales and marketing CNet News reports.
CEO Darl McBride will lead the management team and set company strategy, but Negris will oversee operations, the company said.
Negris also will help SCO try to build its business in emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia, India and China.
