Rian Breed has been appointed as Chief Information Officer at Open Learning Holdings. Breed holds an MEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria (2004) and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch (cum laude 2011).
He is the recipient of the PSG Konsult Achievement Award for the Top MBA Student 2010 and has also received the Old Mutual Gold Medal Award for exceptional performance on an MBA programme in 2010.
Breed previously fulfilled the position of Innovation and Technology Manager at Internet Solutions Carrier Services and also that of Strategic Planning Manager at the same company. He went on to work as a Senior Engineer in Transmission at Broadband Infraco. At Enerweb, he fulfilled the roles of Programme Manager and Systems Engineer and finally at Eskom he was employed as an Engineer.
