Online health degree commended

Getting an affordable online graduate degree in health care administration through the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota is more than just easy, it's a great value, reports Prairie Business.

GetEducated.com, a consumer watchdog group that reviews and ranks online universities for cost, quality and credibility, says South Dakota ranks third among affordable online degrees for its Master in Science in Administrative Studies/Health Services Administration and Master in Science in Administrative Studies/Long-Term Care Administration.

The average online university cost for a distance master's in health care is $21 652, based on GetEducated's online college reviews.

More enrol for online courses

According to a report, nearly one million more students enrolled in online courses last fall - an increase of 21%, the highest increase ever, reveals CTI.

The eighth annual report, entitled 'Class Differences: Online Education in the US, 2010', was based on responses from more than 2 500 colleges and universities across the country.

As Inside Higher Ed pointed out, enrolment jumped to 5.6 million as an additional one million students took at least one Web-based class in fall 2009. Almost a third of all college students in the US now take at least one online course.
