New service helps users cope with information overload

People who use the Internet regularly will tell you that search engines are seldom as smart or as comprehensive as they appear to be. In fact, some experts estimate that even the best search facilities on the Net manage to scan no more than 10% of the hundreds of millions of Web pages.

The other side of the coin is that simple queries can often return hundreds of thousands of results, most of which are irrelevant and lead to time wasting, money wasting, confusion, and frustration. To overcome these problems, South Africa`s financial and business intelligence provider I-Net Bridge has launched a Dedicated Web Research service.

The new Dedicated Web Research service offered by I-Net Bridge on its Business Intelligence Service (BIS), NetAssets and Ananzi websites provides users with a specialist search, tailor-made to specifications, and operated by in-house experts. The service will be offered on a free trial basis for a limited time only.

"The original concept was born out of the need to make sense of the mountains of data available on the Net. The process of filtering out irrelevant information is just too time consuming for someone who has other things to do, and that`s where I-Net Bridge, and Dedicated Web Research comes in", says Sandra Coelho, BIS Content Manager at I-Net Bridge.

Some of the invaluable features offered by Dedicated Web Research include:

  • Experienced I-Net Bridge Web researchers

  • An in-depth analysis of the best sites found pertaining to the topic requested

  • Top 10 URLs rated according to relevance, including value-added comments and suggestions on the information contained within these sites

  • Filtering of irrelevant information

  • Verification of links

Users fill in a simple search-request form, which will be evaluated by the I-Net Bridge team within the hour. Search results will be e-mailed to the customer within 24 hours, packaged according to the customer`s specifications, and with the emphasis on the relevance of information.

This new service by I-Net Bridge is competitively priced, convenient, and easy to use. Dedicated Web Research can be accessed at: http://www.netassets.co.za/netassets/sitewide/index/direct/1,2276,5879-0,00.html http://pub01.ananzi.co.za/1.html http://www.inet.co.za
