New era for official journal of the Institute of People Management

People Dynamics, the official journal of the Institute of People Management (IPM), has appointed HR Pulse, a division of ITWeb, as its new publisher.

Says Rre Elijah Litheko: IPM CEO: "Leading organisations throughout the world have come to realise that people can truly be your greatest investment and differentiator in a fast-changing and super competitive business context."

Taking this changing role of HR into account, IPM - the oldest and largest institution of HR practitioners in Africa - has entrusted HR Pulse with the task of giving its journal a facelift and ensuring its content is relevant to its members, with effect from September 2014.

"As the professional body for people management and development, IPM aims to be the portal to thought leadership in people management. One of our key priorities are to ensure that our members, and the business community we serve, have access to the latest trends in human capital management and development.

"Through our partnership with HR Pulse, we aim to equip HR practitioners with the knowledge and information they need to keep their finger on the pulse within the human capital and business leadership space. We will open up the debate so that you receive high-quality informed commentary on a wide range of issues.

"It is an exciting journey that we have embarked on and we invite all South Africans to join us and be part of it!"

HR Pulse, an online resource for anyone who manages employees or owns their own business, is a joint venture between EOH and ITWeb.

''ITWeb, a business technology media company, services several vertical markets via diverse media platforms," says Jovan Regasek, ITWeb founder and CEO. "We are thrilled that our newest Web site, HR Pulse, a fast growing community of HR practitioners, managed to win the publishing rights for People Dynamics, the official voice of South African HR managers."

"All our titles focus on the B2B space. In line with this, People Dynamics will remain focused on the business of HR, more specifically, the business role and business values that HR creates for organisations," adds Regasek.

Newly appointed editor of HR Pulse and People Dynamics, Gavin Smith, believes that the union of the two mediums will offer the industry a comprehensive resource irrespective of their media consumption habits. ''While digital media has grown exponentially over the last few years, there is most certainly a need for print, especially in the business-to-business arena. The magazine will allow us to look at the important issues in more depth, while the Web site ensures we keep up to date with all the latest news, views, and trends within the dynamic HR environment.''

The November issue of People Dynamics, with a special feature on the upcoming IPM Convention, is now available.
