MTN, a gold sponsor for METAmorphosis 2005

Johannesburg, 18 Apr 2005

Africa`s leading cellular network provider, MTN, joins the META Group South Africa, a provider of information technology research, advisory services and strategic consulting, as a gold sponsor for the METAmorphosis 2005 conference, to be held from 24 to 26 May at Caesars Convention Centre.

METAmorphosis 2005 will focus on driving pervasive integration through IT innovation. The META Group breakthrough performance model is built on three interconnected foundations: Pervasive Integration, The Management of Innovation Portfolios and Active Measurement. This model will provide the competitive advantage and will establish how well and how pervasively organisations integrate their business with information technology.

META Group has formalised this business breakthrough performance model and its three supporting foundations in what is called the Technology-Enabled Enterprise Framework (TEEF) - a conceptual architecture supported by tools, templates, and methods.

With TEEF as an overarching theme, METAmorphosis 2005 will provide actionable guidance and best practices to aid your innovation, integration, and execution challenges.

"By bringing a more innovative approach to current business processes and providing guidance that enables business leaders to understand the potential economic and transformational impact of new technologies, ICT organisations are in a unique position to support these efforts, this is exactly why MTN has decided to align with the META Group and in particular the METAmorphosis conference," says Farhad Khan, General Manager: Business Segment Marketing, MTN SA .

"METAmorphosis is the perfect platform for peer-to-peer networking, one-on-one meetings with top analysts and consultants and leading ICT providers. There is no substitute for interpersonal interaction - MTN is more than just a large corporation. It`s a network by people for people. The people at MTN are innovators who care as much about running a leading GSM network as they do about information, networking and interaction."

"MTN encourages and supports independent studies concerning all ICT issues in the environment. The META Group has consistently offered the most relevant and up-to-date information in the ICT sector."

As the gold sponsor of the conference, MTN will have an exhibition stand and visitors to the stand will be provided with the opportunity to learn more about MTN`s latest Data Corporate Solutions.
