Mobile app Notafy nominated in Top 40 for DEMO Africa 2013

Johannesburg, 18 Sep 2013

With the DEMO Africa Conference around the corner, nothing beats the feeling of being nominated as one of the Top 40 innovations to come out of 2013.

The new mobile app called Notafy was selected out of 300 applications to be showcased as one of the best advancements in mobile technology this year. Notafy is a cost-effective alternative to bulk SMS communication, designed to revolutionise customer service across all industries.

The app will soon be joining the likes of top global products and services such as Adobe Acrobat, Java, TiVo and WebEx. "These are massive brands that were all launched at DEMO conferences around the world in the past. Of course, we could not be more excited and proud to be part of Africa's best new technology innovations," says Andrew Cook, CEO of Smoke Customer Care Solutions.

Cook has been selected to present Notafy to an A-list audience of investors, media, large industry players and entrepreneurs at DEMO Africa. The conference is to be held in Nairobi on 24-25 October 2013. The 300 applications were processed and shortlisted to 160 standout innovations, before the final 40 were chosen.

The 40 finalists were put through three rigorous screening processes, with the final vetting and adjudication done by a pan-African panel of judges. The start-up ventures cover five categories, including Mobile Technology, Social Media, Consumer Products, Cloud Services and Enterprise Technologies.
