Mint Management Technologies attains Microsoft ISV competency

Mint Management Technologies, “Mint”, announced this week that as a result of its highly regarded mobile-driven XRM solution ePharma, the company has been accredited with a Microsoft Dynamics CRM ISV certification.

Microsoft ISVs (or independent software vendors) are uniquely qualified Microsoft partners that have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment within a specific business solution area.

To achieve this qualification, Mint has had to showcase best-in-class solutions in the pharmaceutical arena, and has subsequently undergone a rigorous and auditable approval process in order to demonstrate value to prospective customers.

This ISV competency is the culmination of more than a decade of operations in the pharmaceutical sector and almost 24 months of dedicated development efforts to convert this intellectual property onto the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform.

The company is thrilled to receive official notification that this coveted status has been achieved. “We know that we are making a difference in the way our customers have been doing business. To have our efforts recognised, particularly by a premier technology partner like Microsoft, is a great feather in our cap,” says Mint's Managing Director David Woolnough.

Pursuing a Microsoft ISV competency was a carefully considered and strategic decision for the company. “We chose Microsoft not just because of the fact that it is such a powerful and recognisable brand, but also because of the benefits that their solutions offer our customers,” explains Woolnough. “Microsoft Dynamics CRM goes beyond being a sales force tool, to encompass marketing and contact centre activities, and in turn, comprehensive business intelligence. It is also offers deeper integration with ERP solutions to provide critical end-to-end visibility.”

Every partner that is awarded an ISV competency is required to undergo a stringent qualification and approval process that involves both technical functionality as well as a customer reference component. Mint has excelled on both counts.

Mint is also active across a number of other industry areas outside of pharmaceuticals. By encouraging the sharing of key knowledge and learnings across multiple verticals spanning financial services, FMCG, manufacturing, public works, and media resources, Mint has been able to capitalise on its research and development investments, as well as cross-pollinate ideas and innovations internally. “Because we are not dedicated to a single vertical, we don't have that secular perspective that can become a limiting factor in highly specialised vendors,” says Woolnough.

Mint has been leading the charge in terms of mobility solutions since its emergence in the late 1990s. Mobility technologies are an intrinsic part of the business and form the basis of many of Mint's specialised solutions. Mint has been able to successfully temper the mobility aspect with excellent controls, to offer clients great agility, without sacrificing management and visibility.

As an ISV, Mint is required to provide viable roadmaps for its solutions, something the company has been doing as a matter of course. Mint hosts one of the largest SPLA centres for Microsoft Dynamics CRM in South Africa. Having to continually update and up-skill resources in this hosted environment in order to meet subscribers' expectations has been a key driver in keeping Mint abreast of the latest in CRM technologies. “This culture of continuous improvement keeps us forward-thinking and contributes towards our premier position in the CRM space in South Africa,” says Woolnough.

“Our e-Pharma Solution is one of the only CRM solutions that is able to provide cross-platform functionally, whether this be iPhone, BlackBerry or Microsoft Windows. We believe that by enabling our customers to use what they know, and offering them a choice in respect of the communication platforms they are most comfortable with, is a huge contributor to our product's success,” says Woolnough.

Mint currently services around 50% of the pharmaceutical market in South Africa in one form or another. Some of these clients have been with the Mint organisation for over 10 years - true testament to the kind of relationships the company creates and nurtures.

“Achieving our Microsoft ISV competency reiterates Mint's position as an innovative yet reliably stable technology provider. It offers customers and prospects with the affirmation that we are the partners of choice in the CRM and mobility solution space,” concludes Woolnough.

Mint uses leading mobile and Web technologies to automate and simplify sales and service operations to deliver a world-class and real-time customer experience.
