Microsoft`s new hotline optimises customer care

Microsoft South Africa has launched a new hotline that will give customers across the country immediate access to a service consultant for the cost of a local telephone call.

The number, 0860 2255 67, will provide a rich source of support for all the Microsoft product lines, as well as 90-day warranty support. The new hotline will cost the same as a local call no matter where you phone from within South Africa. Similar to having Microsoft customer support in your neighbourhood.

Access to information will be at the consumer`s fingertips, "Microsoft aims to optimise customer service," says Microsoft technical director Shane van Jaarsveldt. "By being attentive to the needs of our customers, we keep clients satisfied and the retail channel profitable. It`s like having Microsoft on your street corner."

For home users, Microsoft`s new hotline offers Standard Support Services, which is operational from 07h00 - 18h30. This service is offered at no charge to all end-users for 90 days after product registration. Businesses can utilise the same hotline to access their Enterprise Support Services and addresses both warranty and after-warranty support requirements. To accommodate support services for mission-critical applications, Enterprise Support Services also offers Premier Support, covering 24-hour support, seven days a week, with a maximum response time of four hours.
