Following the recent launch by Microsoft SA of the newest release of Dynamics GP - to be known as Dynamics GP 2010 - Computer Initiatives anticipates significant demand from clients for upgrades to this version. Dynamics GP 2010 is an easy-to-use enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for midsize businesses that want advanced functionality, strong business intelligence reporting options and interoperability with other line-of-business applications.
There are several exciting new features found in this version. Procurement and sales related documents may now be produced using MS Word Templates. This allows for high-quality professional-looking documents to be produced with ease. Documents may easily be customised for specific suppliers or customers, with automated distribution via e-mail. Customisation of these documents in Word templates is much easier than traditional changes, using report writing tools. The integration with Outlook saves time and reduces complexity.
Ronald Laxton, Managing Director of Computer Initiatives, says: "This increased integration with MS Office will be of benefit to clients who have extensive dealings with customers and suppliers. Just these features will make it worthwhile for some of our clients to upgrade as they improve efficiency and reduce complexity."
At the company's first "What's new in Dynamics GP 2010" User Group meeting, this integration with MS Office was demonstrated. Ros Pengelly, responsible for product maturity, reports that clients were excited about the ways in which Dynamics GP 2010 will improve business processes. Benefits will include improved communication with clients, and the ability to project a more professional corporate image. The familiarity of the solution for existing users will ensure ease of adoption.
