SPI, the sole Sub-Saharan distributor for UK-based Open Systems Management (OSM), today announced that the Metropolitan Health Group (MHG) had installed the latter's COSbatch job scheduling and IT operations management software.
"We have implemented the job scheduling software across our full network of processors including a new HP Itanium box," commented Rod Russell, Infrastructure manager at MHG, "and the product has already given us more control over our job scheduling than our previous product particularly in the areas of delegation and issue management.
"In addition, the implementation we have experienced was extremely impressive; the software is fully supported locally, which to us is so vital, and the financial scenario was more attractive. Thus, we are delighted to have been able to extend our relationship with SPI in this way, as we already have several other products from Optio Software and Xi Software installed on our systems that are supplied and maintained by SPI."
"We are delighted in the above endorsement given to both COSbatch and ourselves," added Chris Anderson, CEO of SPI. "This is especially gratifying in that this was the first installation of the product on the African continent. COSbatch is just one example from our portfolio of 'utility-type' software that we believe is important for the effective and efficient operation of any IT installation."
