messageLOUD is an eyes-free smartphone app that automatically reads your texts, WhatsApp messages and e-mail out loud so you can drive safely.

According to an AAA poll, 94% of teen drivers acknowledge the dangers of texting and driving, but 35% admitted to doing it anyway. And 21% of teen drivers involved in fatal crashes were distracted by their phones.
The apps and initiatives focused on preventing messaging and texting while driving are not solving the underlying problem, FOMO. (fear of missing out). Messaging while driving is a technology problem. It requires a technology solution and messageLOUD is that solution.
In January of this year, messageLOUD went into public Beta on Android. Now, messageLOUD is delighted to enter into its next phase in making driving safer.

Since January, 94 app versions have been released, each one an improvement on the last. Based on user requests, multiple new features have been introduced, some of which include:
* Caller announcing: messageLOUD will tell users who is calling.
* Read my inbox: Users can configure messageLOUD to read existing messages in their inbox.
* Audio handling: messageLOUD will pause music and will pause itself for calls and navigation.
* Bluetooth auto-start and auto-driving detection.
* Signature parsing algorithm so these will not be read out loud.
* Promotional e-mails are not read.
"Over the coming months we will be adding new messaging types, with the goal of users being able to hear all of their messages read aloud while behind the wheel.
