With effect from 1 July 2011, MediSwitch is pleased to announce the launch of its Discovery Online claims facility.
Peter Kennedy, MediSwitch MD, pointed out that the product has been in development and testing for the past 12 months. Working closely with the Discovery team, the product that has been tested at customers' sites is now ready to be rolled out to all healthcare disciplines (with the exception of pathology and radiology, to be included soon).
This service includes an online claims response mechanism, which results in improved cash flow for medical professionals, and just as importantly, helps them manage the financial risks which are inherent in systems that do not supply users with a live feed. The overall effect is greater administrative efficiencies, combined with enhanced practice management control.
MediSwitch is the leading health information exchange in South Africa, having launched its first online claims product over 13 years ago. This new product gives MediSwitch customers the most comprehensive facility available in South Africa.
MediSwitch is a division of Bytes Healthcare Solutions, which is owned by the Bytes Technology Group (Bytes), a subsidiary of the Altron Group. The group's BEE partner, Kagiso Trust Investments, holds 27% of the equity in Bytes.
