Mauritius-based paint manufacturer Mauvilac has selected Sage ERP X3, from Softline Accpac, to support its need to integrate all the organisation's information and business processes within one single software system and database.
Accpac business partner New Edge Solutions is handling the implementation which, says MD Peter Neubert, will be done in phases. The system is expected to go live in May 2010.
Neubert explains that Mauvilac's decision to invest in a new ERP system was centred around a lack of access to real-time, accurate information on which to base informed decisions. “Sage ERP X3 addresses this with ease by giving all users an extensive view of their activities in real-time, no matter where data has been created or stored. The system will manage finance, sales, inventory, CRM, purchasing, and manufacturing operations globally, and streamline all of the organisation's processes.”
Richard Yan, IT Manager of the Mauvilac Group, says that in addition to the lack of real-time information, the use of several systems led to the duplication of work processes and, ultimately, reduced efficiency and productivity.
“We selected Sage ERP X3 for its rich functionality, full scalability, and ease of use. With the expertise and experience of New Edge Solutions, the system is set to transform the way Mauvilac does business - on demand and responsive to the needs of its customers. With a system that is designed to support our key activities in an integrated fashion, processes and workflows will be streamlined, resulting in improved efficiency and productivity levels, better tracking and forecasting, lower costs, and improved customer service.”
Mauvilac is continuously striving to expand its global market share and embracing a world-class ERP system demonstrates its commitment to continuous process improvement, says Keith Fenner, Sales Director, Softline Accpac.
“Sage ERP X3 is ideal for companies seeking to utilise a modern enterprise system as a competitive weapon. The system supports all of the planning, scheduling and production control activities for either process or discrete manufacturing and adapts to different manufacturing modes, including make-to-order, configure-to-order, assemble-to-order, make-to-stock and mixed-mode environments. The manufacturing module is fully integrated with the sales, CRM, purchasing, inventory and finance components, delivering full integration throughout the business.”
