Matrox streamlines VCHD editing

Matrox Video Products Group has released Matrox MXO Mini support for the popular CineForm NeoScene editing workflow that streamlines AVCHD editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 on the PC, reports Computerworld.

The Matrox MXO2 Mini I/O device provides inexpensive HDMI monitoring with 10-bit 4:2:2 colour precision.

It turns an HDMI screen into a professional-grade video monitor with Matrox's colour calibration tool.

Hannspree intros 25-inch TV

Hannspree, a developer of lifestyle and design-centric consumer electronic products, has introduced the 25-inch ST251MKB 1080p full HD LCD TV to the US market, according to IT News Online.

This model is going to be a part of the company's first line of mainstream digital TVs under the ST series, with larger models expected to be released later this year.

According to Hannspree, these televisions are also excellent for use as large-format computer monitors.

Seven videoconferencing mistakes to avoid

New videoconferencing technology offers a better, more affordable alternative to increasingly expensive and difficult to travel to in-person meetings for SMEs, according to bmighty.

Dominic Dodd, Frost & Sullivan's global programme director for unified communications and collaboration, says the evidence shows while the recession has reduced the dramatic growth of videoconferencing adoption, he still sees demand rising in 2009, 2010, and beyond.

The reason is partly technological, Dodd said, as videoconferencing is finally able to provide an affordable video experience on a par with users' everyday video experiences on television and elsewhere.
