Secure e-mail and Web gateway security provider Marshal today announced that it has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Programme with competency in network infrastructure, attesting to Marshal's expertise and technological contributions to content security on Microsoft Windows platforms.

"Microsoft has been our platform of choice for our content security solutions and corporate infrastructure since our founding, and we've long been one of Microsoft's most proactive partners," said Oscar Marquez, Microsoft Global Alliance Manager for Marshal.

"Achieving Gold Certified Partner status is key for keeping our international growth momentum going. It provides us with unprecedented access to hundreds of thousands of Microsoft channel partners worldwide as well as additional resources and an even closer working relationship with Microsoft to continue to develop solutions optimised for our joint customers. The rigorous process to achieve this elite partnership brings with it a level of trust with both resellers and customers that is invaluable for opening new doors of opportunity."

Gold Certified Partners represent those with the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies and have the closest working relationship with Microsoft. The Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency is for technology partners who have proven their proficiency in implementing solutions based on Microsoft Windows Server 2000 or Windows Server 2003 Operating Systems, or Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 and Small Business Server 2003.

Marshal has also certified its award-winning e-mail security solution, MailMarshal SMTP, on Windows Server 2000 Datacenter and is pursuing certification for its entire product line, including WebMarshal, Marshal's 3-in-1 secure Web gateway, and MailMarshal for Exchange, a powerful, feature-rich internal e-mail filtering solution for Microsoft Exchange Server.

The Microsoft Partner Programme was launched in December 2003 and represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The programme offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognises partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.
