Starpak, an African manufacturer of shrink-wrapping machinery, has revamped its online strategy to expand its global reach.

Together with Web site development specialist, Synchrony, Starpak has constructed its new Web site to be recognised worldwide and compliant with global standards.

Starpak has a worldwide installed base of over 80 000 machines in 25 countries. The company says its online presence is a critical part of its operations and represents the frontline of its communication and market engagement strategy.

“It goes without saying that online presence is critical to any credible modern business. In keeping with our proactive approach to operations management and utilisation of resources, we sought to partner with and outsource the effective refurbishment and enhancement of our Web site to a service provider with a proven track record that understood our business and what we are trying to achieve,” says Warren Smith, sales and marketing manager at Starpak.

In addition to basic information, critical company data, and details on products, services and industry news, the Web site also offers visitors a closer inspection of innovative technology and expanding product ranges.

Management at Starpak describe the new Web site as “more reflective of the innovative, entrepreneurial approach and style that epitomises the company”, with full reliable support and effective functionality.

The revised Starpak Web site is also far easier to navigate and demonstrates the progress of the company and its growth within this industry, says Howard Rybko, Syncrony CEO.

“We are very pleased to be in a position in which we are able to show the immediate value of a sound investment in skills sets and market experience when it comes to Web site enhancement and functionality,” he adds

“Most operators today realise that the Web site is far more than an information portal and window to the company; it is a fundamental and critical component of modern business management and strategy,” concludes Rybko.
