Mobile technology in the supply chain is no longer a luxury but an absolute necessity in order to drive efficiencies and accurately track and control the movement of goods, as well as compete in an increasingly competitive and global market.
To address these demands in the market, MakeMeMobile, leaders in mobile enterprise solutions, has expanded its Johannesburg office and moved premises to not only house its growing team of mobility experts, but to also accommodate its larger mobility helpdesk and national repair centre.
Over the last 12 months, MakeMeMobile has deployed multiple successful mobility solutions based on Honeywell's Movilizer cloud-based mobility platform. Honeywell Movilizer, designed for field operations, drives enterprise profitability across an organisation by deploying nimble and dynamic solutions across all types of mobile devices.
Honeywell Movilizer solutions have been deployed across multiple enterprise back-end systems, including SAP. In response to market demand, MakeMeMobile has created a new division called M3 Enterprise to focus on Honeywell Movilizer solutions in the SAP environment.
According to MakeMeMobile's director, Andrew Fosbrook, this division will focus on extending SAP functionality onto mobile devices, as well as providing seamless SAP integration. "We now have numerous customers who are running Honeywell Movilizer in the South African market. We have employed additional specialised SAP resources, which together with our mobility experts, will form a formidable team to offer the best in class SAP enterprise mobility solutions."
This is the second major expansion that MakeMeMobile has undertaken in the past 18 months to meet the demand for mobility solutions across the retail, FMCG, transport and logistics, and industrial markets.
