Global Outdoor Systems (GOS), the South African headquartered provider of a wide range of outdoor advertising solutions for major clients in South Africa and other African countries, has contracted Sage Accpac accounting and financial ERP and CRM software solutions provider Lorge to conduct full Accpac implementation for the GOS operations in Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana.
Shelley Gittleson of Lorge corporate sales said specialised data conversions will take place in South Africa and personalised training and go-live assistance will be conducted on site.
“We will be installing the Accpac software, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cashbook, Purchase Orders, an additional language capability (French) and an asset management module. The latter is essential as all of the advertising signage erected in these countries remains a company asset.”
Gittleson said Lorge has accumulated considerable experience in Accpac accounting and financial ERP solutions to meet the special needs and conditions of Francophone and other countries in Africa. “The reporting tools for both installations are to be standardised to GOS requirements.”
Apart from South Africa, GOS has companies operating in Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, DRC, Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Cote d' Ivoire and Senegal. GOS is a media owner with a large footprint across central and sub-Saharan Africa with a base of more than 3 000 advertising panels/billboards, in sizes ranging from 2m x 3m right up to up to giants of 10m x 50m erected for rent in commercial centres.
Lorge expects to complete the implementation of the new Accpac software solutions and reporting tools for GOS by the first week of August.
