Mid-market ERP solutions provider Lorge has supplied, installed and commissioned an Accpac ERP 500 for Windows multi-currency financial software system for the Gaborone head office of Equipment Sales & Services, a specialist supplier of heavy earthmoving, mining and related equipment.
Shelley Gittleson of corporate sales for Lorge`s Accpac business unit, said the installation of the software had been carried out by Lorge Botswana.
The Accpac ERP 500 system caters for 20 users in the Equipment Sales & Services head office, providing General Ledger, Cashbook, Debtors, Creditors, Inventory Control, Order Entry and Purchase Orders. It also offers reporting functionality through Crystal Reports.
"There are plans for a second phase that will bring online other users at the Equipment Sales & Services branch at Francistown and Selibe Phikwe," added Gittleson.
Established in 1984, Equipment Sales & Services is the only registered Bell Equipment dealer in Botswana, and operates in the heavy earthmoving equipment sector, supplying equipment and services to the construction, mining, quarrying and plant hire industries.
The product range also includes ground engaging tools, DELTEC heavy-duty maintenance-free batteries, ADE/Mercedes, ZF/Allison transmissions, John Deere, Filter 2000, Deutz, Ingersoll Rand and others.
Equipment Sales & Services financial manager Andy Fraenkel said staff had received on-site training from Lorge in the use of the new Accpac software system. "Apart from the pure financial control and reporting aspects, the new system will further improve our excellent logistics systems and underpin our ability to supply equipment and spares throughout sub-Saharan Africa."
