Mid-market ERP solutions provider Lorge, which operates throughout southern Africa, has completed a contract to convert the Accpac accounting software of pension fund administrator Glenrand MIB (Botswana) from a DOS environment to Windows.
The conversion was done centrally at the Gaborone head office of Glenrand MIB (Botswana) using Accpac Plus as the facilitating software.
Jurgens Snyman, manager of Lorge`s Botswana operations, said the database containing the financial transactions and records pertaining to 68 separate corporate pension funds administered by Glenrand MIB in Botswana had been converted to the Windows operating system.
"The conversion was carried out to ensure Glenrand MIB, a leading independent insurance broker and provider of employee benefit consulting and fund administration services, maintains the highest levels of service to its corporate pension fund client base," said Snyman. "The Windows environment offers considerable enhancements in terms of features, functionality and improved efficiencies."
The conversion programme took just over a month to complete, and the Windows environment became operational recently.
A black empowerment enterprise, the Glenrand MIB Group was formed more than 50 years ago in South Africa and has since expanded its financial services operations into other southern African countries.
