Life science industry gets BI hub

BioMedGPS, the healthcare business intelligence (BI) and competitive metrics vendor, has unveiled the first enterprise-wide Business Intelligence Hub for the life science industry, reports the Virtual Strategy Magazine.

SmartTRAK is a Web-based BI solution that integrates real-time market data and analysis with the power of information technology (IT) accessible throughout an organisation, fostering an innovative collaborative approach to market strategy and driving better decisions.

OC Metro reports that Sharon O'Reilly, CEO of BioMedGPS says: “BioMedGPS is the first to create a BI hub designed to integrate within an organisation's existing IT infrastructure. SmartTRAK is an important part of modernising BI within the life science industry.” According to the Sun Herald, at market unveiling, SmartTRAK modules include Orthobiologics, Spine, Wound Biologics and Extremities.

BioMedGPS continues to expand the content of SmartTRAK with new modules including sports medicine, regenerative and total joints. New innovations in SmartTRAK's analytical tool set and DataBank functionality are also expected to come online in the first quarter of 2012.
