Following a serious injury sustained to his neck and spine in a polo accident last month, MB Technologies founder and CEO Leo Baxter has stepped down.
Bruce McGregor will take over as CEO of the company with immediate effect.
While Baxter is no longer in hospital, he has a long rehabilitation ahead of him, and will travel to the US for treatment. The company says Baxter will be available during this time and will continue to play a key role on the board. "It is business as usual for the group," says Baxter.
He says his contribution to the group has primarily been of a strategic nature for some time and being relieved of the day-to-day responsibilities will allow him to focus on this role.
The new CEO was previously the business development director for MB Technologies. He has been with the company for nine years.
"Bruce and I have worked together for many years and I am confident he is the ideal candidate for the CEO position. He also has the support of a very experienced executive committee," says Baxter.
