LearnScapes has announced its new courses in the InfoPositive computer-based training range. These courses are delivered by local intranet, network, computer training lab or touchscreen training kiosk.
LearnScapes uses its technology and educational expertise to create an effective and pleasant learning experience for the learner. These courses include a fully functional and easy to use LMS with automated management and tracking of learner participation, thus offering organisations means to track usage and calculate return on investment. These courses are also SCORM compliant and can be published in any LMS that conforms to the SCORM standards.
Courses available today include: What is HIV and AIDS?, How HIV infects, How HIV doesn`t infect, I had an HIV test - now what?, condoms, safer relationships, HIV/AIDS and nutrition, balanced nutrition guide, antiretrovirals, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, opportunistic infections and diarrhoea.
In coming months, LearnScapes plans to unveil additional courses. The courses are greatly supported by animations and clearly illustrated pictures ensuring our presentation becomes a motivating audio-visual driven experience. Within each module learners will encounter multiple-choice questions that will give them an indication of whether they understand the information or need a recap. When a question is answered incorrectly, the relevant section for review is suggested to the learner.
"Putting our content onto the customer`s network or intranet achieves an extremely efficient and effective way to educate employees about important issues related to HIV, TB, STIs and other life-threatening diseases," said Leon van der Merwe, Managing Director at LearnScapes.
Van der Merwe says the feedback we have received from our clients has been very positive and we consult with our clients to ensure we continually add new courses to the InfoPositive range that will make a difference, not only to the bottom line of the employer, but also to equip the learner with essential and life-saving knowledge.
There is an urgent need for organisations to help stem the devastating tide of the HIV and AIDS pandemic. E-learning is a cost-effective way in which to bring HIV and AIDS education to the people. The InfoPositive range from LearnScapes will assist your current efforts and also allow peer education programmes to be more successful due to the raised level of knowledge. The essential knowledge delivered to the learner will encourage the learner to think about behaviour alteration, and assist in making responsible life choices.
