JBoss Middleware leads in customer satisfaction... five years running

The results are in, and JBoss wins... again!

As many of you know, the Middleware BU contracts with third party research firm Velociti Partners annually to survey Red Hat customers for their satisfaction with Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Middleware products and support, and to compare JBoss relative to their experiences with JBoss competitors.

Survey respondents comprised active JBoss Enterprise Middleware customers with logins to the Customer Portal. The majority of respondents also had experience with other middleware vendors' technical support services.

Respondents were asked to subsequently rate Red Hat and a competing vendor on a scale of 1 (Completely Disagree) to 7 (Completely Agree). The 11 questions covered how well the vendor delivered support, understood their business needs, met SLAs, provided service in a professional manner, transferred knowledge, and ultimately delivered value.

For the fifth year running, JBoss came out ahead. An average of scores across all 11 questions was:

* JBoss: 5.54
* IBM WebSphere: 4.72
* Oracle Weblogic: 4.96
