Johannesburg, 11 Feb 2008

ITWeb will host its IT Confidence conference on 11 March at Gallagher Estate, Midrand. The event presents an interactive platform for analysts and key private and public IT companies to put forward their predictions and points of view.

The day's presentations and panel discussions will focus on major trends, ideas and developments in the industry for 2008 against the context of market opportunities and challenges seen during 2007.

Ken Jarvis, MD of Jika Africa, will present an insider view on vendor selection. He will share his approach, successes and failures on being a CIO of a large public sector entity, and choosing a vendor and ICT partner. He will also discuss what it is like to deal with the customer from a supplier perspective, and the frustrations of being 'on the other side of the desk'.

Chris Hart, chief economist of Investment Solutions; Roy Blume, IT research manager for BMI-TechKnowledge; Noah Greenhill, senior GM for Marketing and Business Development at the JSE; and Craig Hackney, an analyst from BJM, will also speak.
