The JSE has warned two IT companies to submit their financial results or face having trade in their shares suspended.
The stock exchange says Labat Africa and Elexir Technology Holdings have until 30 June to submit their financial statements.
After that, their listings will be suspended, it adds.
JSE rules stipulate that listed companies must publish their financial results within three months of the end of their financial year as well as their half-year.
Labat acknowledged recently that it had failed to deliver its figures within the deadline, saying that the results were being held up because previous figures were being revisited in terms of their compliance with the South African Statements of Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
The results for the 2004 financial year might have to be restated, it added.
Elexir announced in May that its subsidiary, Elexir SA, had been placed into voluntary liquidation as it was insolvent.
It said at the same time that it was in talks regarding the disposal of the remaining operating businesses of the company, which comprised all the trading activities of the group.
