Intervate, an enterprise information management (EIM) solutions specialist and Microsoft Gold Partner for Content Management, Digital Marketing, and Portals and Collaboration, will be represented at this year's Share 2013 Conference, from 11 to 13 March, as the power behind the Newsgator and Software Innovation 360^0 stands.
"Intervate is the first to bring the Software Innovation 360^0 solution to market in South Africa, from Norway, where it has been implemented widely for Scandinavian regional governments with great success. The Scandinavian public sector is recognised for being world leaders in efficient and open government," says Roy Hobson, Customer Solutions Executive at Intervate.
The 360^0 solution is built on SharePoint and is Windows 8-ready. Together, it provides businesses with a solution that satisfies their needs for efficient, secure and legally compliant information management through advanced search options and tight integration with Office and other communication tools. The solution extends SharePoint to meet National Archives and Record Service (NARS) electronic record-keeping standards.
"It is fitting for Intervate to implement the 360^0 solution in South Africa, as it ensures that critical organisational documentation is readily available for revision and review, reducing the risks associated with misplaced or lost information and increasing traceability with strong search functionality. It also offers an efficient paperless document and collaboration environment for employees and customers to manage and contribute to project activities, meetings and sharing of information. This is at the core of our business," says Hobson.
360^0 enables documents to be published easily into compliant registry cases, and searched for on intranets or online, while archived cases and documents can be pulled up from customer relationship management (CRM) systems. This allows for an environment conducive to knowledge sharing and access to information between employees and customers, and results in less time being spent on finding relevant documents and information.
"Colleagues and customers are also being brought closer together through the 360^0 solution, as case handlers and other involved parties use the same shared and simplified case processes and workflows, all surfaced through the familiar SharePoint interface," adds Hobson.
E-mails can be automatically linked to cases, documents or projects, or easily archived in 360^0 folders with a simple drag-and-drop functionality. Incoming letters and hard copy mail can be scanned and linked to the 360^0 archive. This automation and ease-of-use of the system not only simplifies processes, but also saves time and money for organisations and their customers.
As compliance regulations get more stringent, Intervate recommends SharePoint as a core ECM platform and compliant system of record solution to ensure organisations conform to legislation and international standards of record keeping.
"We have been working closely with several national, regional and local government entities in South Africa to store and retrieve case documents and records in a manner that is secure, scalable and compliant with the South African National Archives requirements as well as other regulatory conditions," concludes Hobson.
