International software company shows softer side

Johannesburg, 13 Dec 2013

OLRAC SPS, an international software solutions provider, recently announced its effort to support dialysis patient, Sienna Visagie.

Visagie, who runs a small cleaning business, appealed to companies to fund her dialysis treatments. OLRAC SPS responded to Visagie's plea. Visagie, who was diagnosed with kidney failure in May 2013, was astounded and relieved at OLRAC SPS's donation of 35 dialysis treatments.

Dr Amos Barkai, co-owner and CEO of OLRAC SPS, confirmed he was able to relate to small business owners, having started out as a small business owner himself.

"In the true spirit of Ubuntu, responding to Sienna's request was an easy decision. By running even a small business, Sienna is creating employment opportunities within her community, thereby uplifting her community as a whole," says Barkai.

OLRAC SPS is an award-winning company that specialises in the field of predictive analytics, as well as the implementation of advanced software solutions for international brands, across various business sectors.

Visagie has since thanked OLRAC SPS for its donation and for its timeous response to her request.

"I had only two weeks' worth of dialysis treatments left when I requested financial assistance from OLRAC SPS. Their generous donation could not have come at a more critical time; they basically saved my life," comments Visagie.
