As part of its ongoing plans for national expansion, the Johannesburg-based company officially established the dedicated office in Newton Park, which boasts a 70-seat call centre with capacity for growth.
Inter-Active Technologies managing director Jacqui van Staaden points out the decision was made to establish the Port Elizabeth branch after the company identified potential for growth in the region, following months of comprehensive market research and analysis.
"A large blue-chip client has a strong presence in the Eastern Cape, and we determined that we could improve our service offering by opening a dedicated branch within close proximity. Although we are currently taking over existing jobs, our long-term objective is to create measurable and sustainable employment opportunities in the region," she explains.
According to Van Staaden, this will be achieved through a long-term growth strategy, which involves the creation of new business partnerships with potential clients located across the Eastern Cape. Inter-Active Technologies has achieved substantial success since its establishment in 2004.
In this financial year alone, the company has expanded its national staff numbers from 640 to more than 1 000. As a result of this consistent growth, the company identified the need to establish a dedicated Western Cape branch, which was also officially opened in October 2013 in Cape Town.
"What's more, our Johannesburg head office has been moved from Roodepoort to Randburg to accommodate for further regional growth in Gauteng. With this in mind, we will be identifying more provinces that could serve as potential avenues for growth in the future," Van Staaden concludes.
