Integrity Software, supplier of mission critical software, has launched its Integrity Paywise payroll system in SA after a substantial investment in development over the past three years.

The product - which is also described as a management tool - is expected to be implemented by the bulk of the local subsidiary`s large payroll base over the next 12- 18 months. The initial version of Integrity Paywise, which is based on more than 18 years` experience in the market, has already been installed at more than 100 sites in South Africa under the Integrity Paywise "Lite" banner, as well as in Tanzania and Mozambique. Other export markets, including Europe, are being investigated.

Colleen FitzSimons, head of payroll development at Integrity Software SA, said the latest product took three years to develop. The first version, dubbed Paywise "Lite", was successfully launched more than a year ago. And now the "Premier" version is ready for deployment.

While Integrity Software has enjoyed a presence in SA for more than three years thanks to the 100% ownership of Multisoft Pty Ltd - the supplier of Contractor 2000 and Premier Accounting software - the group recently unveiled aggressive expansion plans in SA with the proposed acquisition of eSoft comprised of Accfin, Paywise, Retail Automation and Turning Point Solutions.

Commenting further, FitzSimons said Integrity Paywise "met with an excellent reception" at the company`s headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, with the parent company expecting to roll out the payroll solution among its European clients during the next 12-18 months as well.

"While the product was expensive to develop, we believe it is a leader in the marketplace and future business is expected to give Integrity a high return on investment."

What sets the solution apart from its competitors is the fact that it does not only allow users to produce payslips, but its power and functionality make it a sophisticated management tool. "This is not just a payroll product. It is a powerful solution which can be significantly tailored to meet the individual information, processing and operational requirements of each client. We believe this is unique in terms of the degree of flexibility that we are introducing.

The product also provides users with comprehensive historical information. If an operator, for instance, needs to draw information on UIF payments per employee for any period, (weekly, monthly, annually or historically) the system will produce this.

With branches in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, the company is seen as a major player in the payroll, accounting and POS markets.
