The Innovation Hub has announced the appointment of Pieter Holl as its new CEO.
Holl, who succeeds McLean Sibanda, was the acting CEO at the innovation agency from June to November, according to a statement.
Prior to joining agency, the new CEO was the deputy director-general responsible for business regulation and governance for Gauteng Department of Economic Development. He was in this position for 8 years, where he is said to have contributed "greatly to the success and management of the department".
Before his time as acting CEO at the Innovation Hub, Holl was seconded to the agency to fulfil the role of general manager for commercial operations.
The CEO brings over 15 years senior management experience to his new role, having had management responsibilities in legal advisory services, technical and operational functions in key areas for organisational management.
He also served in various oversight committees including board of Gauteng Liquor Board and shareholder representative of the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, Gauteng Gambling Board and the Innovation Hub.
Holl holds a Baccalaureus Iuris - B Iuris degree from Potchefstroom University for CHE and Bachelor of Laws from University of South Africa.
