Over 2000 participants, 280 speakers and 70 exhibitors gathered at the CSIR International Convention Centre on 7 and 8 December, with a parallel media workshop session that ran on 5 December.
Naledi Pandor, South Africa's Minister of Science and Technology, outlined the three primary objectives of the forum: to put science at the service of society, to promote international collaboration, and to showcase African science and technology to the world.
