Igloo releases social workflow module

Igloo Software, the cloud-based enterprise social networking suite for business, released its social workflow module from the Enterprise 2.0 Conference at the Hynes Convention Centre in Boston, writes Enhanced Online News.

The CEO of Igloo Software, Dan Latendre says: “Our customers have asked us to enable business social networking without sacrificing security, control and corporate asset protection.”

As a pure, 100% cloud company, we pride ourselves on being highly-responsive to our customers needs - releasing new capabilities, like social workflow, at ground-breaking speed, he adds.

According to CMSWire, the key addition is social workflow, which offers organisations the ability to view all content and approve or reject it before it's published, including social interactions.

Now that may seem a bit odd, applying workflow to social interactions, but you could see the potential need for it in some situations.

The publication says while it's fine to catch some things after the fact, sometimes it may be better to just ensure they don't happen in the first place.

It says it does not see workflow like approval or rejection being required in most situations, but it see the potential to use workflow to kick off additional tasks and process when certain things are done.
