Government procurement remains at lacklustre levels, with the ICT industry beginning to feel a bit of a pinch in this week's National Tender Bulletin.
The Department of Social Development, however, offers two interesting opportunities for the software sector. In its first notice, the department is looking for a service provider to develop an alternative care management system; while in the second it wishes to integrate the gender based violence and victims empowerment systems to enable information exchange between the integrated justice system cluster departments.
Meanwhile, the State IT Agency continues to dominate opportunities for ICT procurement with just under half the tenders in this week's bulletin originating from the company.
Advertisements across the sectors remain scarce. Results are also seeing some slowdown as four tenders get awarded and one cancelled.
