This week's National Tender Bulletin recovers its usual dimensions following the short-week slump seen in the last edition. The issue favours the software and services sectors with several tenders targeting offerings from both fields.
The name that jumps out this week is Microsoft. Demonstrating its tenacious foothold in the public sector space, the company receives multiple mentions in both the new tenders and awards sections.
Meanwhile, government's estranged relationship with consultants and consulting services appears to be on the mend. The high profile exposure in Parliament of government's exorbitant spending on consultancy contracts resulted in the sector being all but banished from procurement efforts.
In recent months, however, the National Tender Bulletin has seen a trickle of consulting opportunities making their way onto its pages. While the number of opportunities are still low, recent weeks see a steady flow emerging.
