It's a slim edition of the National Tender Bulletin, probably as a result of last week's public holiday.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) adds to the subdued tone of the edition as it announces the cancellation of five of its outstanding tenders, with no tenders in the awarded section to lighten the load.
The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission rescues the bulletin from an entirely dismal showing with its three new tenders. That which is available is spread almost evenly between the software and services sector, with a single request for hardware.
The telecommunications sector, on the other hand, fares relatively well with four opportunities on offer. Nevertheless, operators are unlikely to welcome a notice from the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) that it is once again advertising for a network performance monitoring system.
