Ice Cream Sandwich updated for Galaxy Note

Samsung Galaxy Note owners can finally enjoy the taste of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, The International Business Times reports.

The Korean giant has started rolling out its Android 4.0 ICS for Galaxy Note users. The upgrade was originally announced for March, but was then pushed back to the second quarter.

The update for Samsung Galaxy Note comes preloaded with Samsung's in-house user interface, TouchWiz, upgraded to v4.0, Tech Source writes.

It was reported that the reason behind the Android 4.0 ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Note delay was the Premium Suite package, which comes with exclusive S Pen-optimised applications and enhanced multimedia features.

According to CNET, these apps make the most of the Note's stylus, or S Pen. The S Note app, for example, lets users scribble on Web pages, images or maps.

My Story lets users make digital cards for their friends and Video Everywhere plays a video in part of the screen, while users use the rest of the screen to get on with something else.
