iBwave intros online customer portal

iBwave has released a Web-based customer portal to allow its clients to have direct access to multiple features to help them better manage their own accounts, according to Earth Times.

iBwave's new customer portal, called My iBwave, is accessible within iBwave's official corporate Web site. The new portal gives iBwave's support team the ability to better keep track and manage clients' help calls.

It offers its customers a reliable and secure online access to self-service support features, and an extensive knowledge base that will accelerate software users' proficiency and improve their autonomy on iBwave's products.

SoloHealth, maker of EyeSite self-service vision testing and self-directed healthcare kiosks, has teamed with Atlanta area Kroger stores to promote eye health awareness and to encourage regular eye exams, writes Digital Signage Expo.

The company announced the installation of its EyeSite interactive kiosks in 10 Kroger locations across the metro area. According to the company, the kiosks are free to use and provide consumers with a quick, accurate assessment of near and distance vision.

The units also assess risk, provide relevant eye health information and encourage consumers to schedule comprehensive exams with an eye care professional from a list of local providers, the company said.

The City of Abilene, Texas, has signed a contract with Lawson Software to implement a multi-application contract that includes the Lawson strategic human capital management and enterprise financial management suites, states PR-Inside.

These applications will help the city automate and streamline HR processes and give employees and administrators more flexibility with many HR self-service functions. The Lawson applications will also help reduce costs through more efficient financial and accounting processes.

The contract was signed during Lawson's first quarter of fiscal 2010, which ended 31 August. Lawson Professional Services will provide implementation services for the project roll-out.
