The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro smartphone offers improved and upgraded features that set it apart from its predecessors.
The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro's symmetrical ‘Clous de Paris’-inspired embossed camera ring features four lenses – the 50MP ultra-aperture camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 64MP optical zoom periscopic telephoto camera with up 200x zoom range, and a laser focus sensor.
Aiming to deliver a next-generation mobile photography experience, Huawei has incorporated its new XMAGE technology with enhanced optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology and image processing, and an Ultra Aperture Camera with a 10-size adjustable physical aperture. The smart aperture adjusts to the scene and shooting scenario identified in Auto mode, to deliver better results in portraits and low light.
The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro is the first to feature Huawei’s EMUI 13 Android-derived operating system. HUAWEI says EMUI 13 is designed to easily connect devices and co-ordinate tasks, offering smart personalised interaction and new features such as drag to share text, files, audio and pictures. It also optimises storage space by stacking duplicate files, compressing lesser-used apps and eliminating unnecessary re-downloads. The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro offers 8GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB ROM.
The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro is designed to go anywhere and handle almost any environment, with drop and scratch-resistant Kunlun Glass, and an IP68 rating for splash, water and dust resistance.
The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro is fitted with a 4 700mAh large-capacity battery and offers automatic low battery mode when the battery level drops to 1%. This mode delivers up 12 minutes of calling or three hours of standby. The phone supports HUAWEI 66W SuperCharge and 50W Wireless SuperCharge via an optional HUAWEI SuperCharge Wireless Charger Stand.
The HUAWEI Mate50 Pro is available with a silver or black glass cover, or an orange vegan leather cover, and retails at R24 999 for the 256GB and R26 999 for the 512GB from selected retail stores or the Huawei online store.
