Huawei Enterprise Services has launched intelligent solutions to help businesses benefit from virtualised operations and maintenance (O&M), full application awareness and service continuity.
The company said O&M is an integral part of an enterprise’s core infrastructure management strategy and must be optimised to facilitate digital transformation.
Speaking at the Huawei Enterprise O&M Summit 2023, hosted as part of the Huawei Intelligent Finance Summit 2023 in Cape Town, Guo Guoqing, president of Huawei Southern Africa Enterprise, said the company's long track record of innovation within ICT positions it at the forefront of O&M advances.
In his keynote address, Jon Tullett, associate research director, IDC South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa, said IT transformation has become the top priority for enterprises and O&M efficiency is the most important part.
Huawei executives including Hank Stokbroekx, VP of Huawei Enterprise BG Digital Technology Service Dept, Wang Hui, president of Huawei Southern Africa Enterprise Service Dept, Liang Yi, VP of Huawei Industry O&M Service and SmartNOS Service, and Clive Tet Fong Chin, senior consultant, Huawei Enterprise Services, together officially unveiled the Huawei Intelligent O&M service solution Smart NOS 2.0 and Hi-Ops 3.1.
Smart NOS 2.0 is the latest iteration of the Huawei Smart Network Operation Service (NOS), an O&M network service. It manages network availability, versions, changes, configurations, and faults in a proactive, regular, and customised manner.
“This helps to eliminate network problems before they occur, and standardises network O&M," Huawei stated. "Hi-Ops 3.1, meanwhile, enables visualised operation management, integrated with best practices, sensing all your applications and always business online, facilitates enterprise’s digital transformation.”
Huawei said its intelligent network O&M solutions enable faults to be detected in one minute, diagnosed in three minutes, and rectified in five minutes.
