Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC this week launched its latest flagship device, the HTC 10.
The HTC 10 comes in a solid metal unibody design. The company says it has been engineered to handle everyday knocks, bumps and scratches.
The smartphone features a camera that is optically stabilised, and has fast laser autofocus and larger aperture f/1.8 lenses on both cameras.
The company says the HTC 10 is certified for hi-res audio and has been designed to make music sound the way the artist intended. The device also comes with hi-res audio-certified earphones.
The HTC 10 has a fingerprint scanner that, the company claims, unlocks in 0.2 seconds and has been algorithmically designed to recognise fingerprints faster and more accurately over time.
The device has a 3 000mAh battery and comes with a quick charge 3.0 Rapid Charger. The company claims the battery can be charged by up to 50% in 30 minutes.
The launch date and price for South Africa have not yet been announced.
