HR firm joins GSE

MidlandHR has been authorised to join the Government Secure Extranet (GSE), reports 24dash.com.

The authorisation will allow public sector buyers to securely use its HR and payroll services through the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) - a managed service provided by OGC buying solutions.

MidlandHR will be able to host its services on the GSE, which is accessible to governmental departments and agencies connected to the GSI.

Expansion includes govt agencies

ADP Canada, provider of outsourced employer services such as HR, payroll and labour management, is expanding its electronic third party remittance service, alongside several government agencies, reports CNW Group.

The collaborations allow ADP to make deductions from an employee's pay cheque for garnishments and support payments, and transmit these funds directly to the participating major government agencies.

This will include sending these payments electronically, and can reduce the remittance period to a matter of days instead of weeks, helping to make payments to recipients through maintenance offices on a timelier basis.

Charteris improves HR

In an attempt to improve HR practices, business technology consultant Charteris has adopted the InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Manager (ESM) platform, reports Training Press Releases.

The Web-based platform allows staff to assess their skills against both Charteris' own behavioural framework and the IT professional standard skills framework SFIA (Skills Framework for the Information Age).

Both the frameworks are linked to training interventions and to corporate planning. Individuals have a single personal development plan, while the organisation has a capability plan coupled with corporate strategy.

Skyytek combines powers

Skyytek has combined the power of Apple iPhone and NetSuite to make enterprise computing easily accessible to mobile employees, reports TMCNet.com.

Mobile executives, departmental employees and agents will now be able to perform instant CRM, ERP, HR and workflow without the integration of mobile technology with back-end systems.

"Combining the capabilities of the iPhone with a powerful and feature-rich on-demand ERP/CRM system can significantly change the way we work. Only today, I was required to approve an order quickly in our NetSuite enterprise system, and was able to login and approve it in less than 40 seconds from a WiFi-enabled coffee stand," says Skyytek CEO, Ray Tetlow.
