HP powers-up its HP OmniBook notebook PC lines with the new Intel Pentium II 400mhz processor

HP OmniBook 4150 and 900 Notebook PCs boast high-performance features for powerful Mobile Computing

Hewlett-Packard Company has announced that the award-winning HP OmniBook 4150 notebook PC and the HP OmniBook 900 notebook PC will incorporate the new Intel Pentium II 400MHz processor. These new configurations of HP OmniBook notebook PCs allow HP to continue meeting the computing needs of its mobile corporate customers. "By working closely with industry leaders such as Intel, HP continues to deliver the latest technology and the quality notebook PCs customers have come to expect from HP."

The lightweight HP OmniBook 4150 notebook PC offers mobile professionals the ideal blend of power and portability. Its high-performance features make it an excellent presentation tool, while common docking solutions and accessories that are compatible with the HP OmniBook 900 series allow the HP OmniBook 4150 notebook PC to integrate seamlessly into the office environment. This new configuration of the HP OmniBook 4150 notebook PC, will feature the following:

  • Intel Pentium II 400MHz processor;

  • 10.1GB hard drive;

  • 64MB SDRAM;

  • NeoMagic`s 256-bit graphics accelerator with AGP;

  • 14.1 inch XGA TFT display; and

  • 4X DVD-ROM drive.

The HP OmniBook 900 notebook PC is the lightest OmniBook notebook PC available, weighing only four pounds. This high-performance system offers customers maximum portability without compromising functionality. An external bay shares storage drives, as well as a second hard drive, with the HP OmniBook 4100 series. This external bay reduces travel weight for mobile professionals and offers IT managers a consistent notebook peripherals line. The new configuration, will feature the following:

  • Intel Pentium II 400MHz processor;

  • 6.4GB hard drive;

  • 32MB SDRAM;

  • NeoMagic`s 256-bit graphics accelerator with AGP; and

  • 12.1 inch SVGA TFT display.
