HP makes internal changes

HP has announced the appointment of Gois Fouche as Enterprise Business (EB) Strategy and Transformation Manager for HP South Africa, with immediate effect.

Fouche began her career in 1986 as the Senior Audit Manager at Meintjes, Putter & Koch and has held various senior management positions in finance and accounting over the years.

In 1995, Fouche undertook the role of chief financial and operations officer at Compaq South Africa. Following the world-wide merger between HP and Compaq in 2002, Fouche's responsibilities included finance, human resources, payroll, administration, operations, system implementation and integration, logistics and procurement. Fouche has also held a series of leadership positions during her 15-year HP career, including Acting Managing Director and head of the Technology Systems Group in 2004.

More recently, as the Financial Controller for HP South Africa, her involvement in business included planning and executing strategic initiatives such as local components of mergers (HP/Compaq), acquisitions (Tandem, Digital, Scitex, Mercury, EDS) and BB-BEE mandates.

“Gois wanted to make a change in her career after this long period in finance. She has an extensive knowledge of the EB business, which will be very useful in further developing and executing our EB strategy together with the HP BEE and transformation strategy,” says Frank van Rees, MD and Enterprise Business Lead, HP South Africa.

Fouche will remain part of the central management team as she was already part of the company's transformation and EB strategy, both of which are key to the future development of HP South Africa.

“Gois has a combination of excellent people skills, thorough business knowledge and an ability to formulate effective solutions. She will be sincerely missed in her current team, but I am happy we can leverage her skills and experience further within the EB business,” he concludes.

HP's premier client event, HP DISCOVER, takes place fro 6-10 June in Las Vegas, and 29 November - 1 December in Vienna, Austria. The event showcases how organisations can get started on their Instant-On Enterprise journeys.
