HP says the BSA portfolio provides clients unified and fully integrated management of their server, network, storage and applications.

The enhancements to the portfolio include capabilities in application deployment and risk mitigation as well as improved efficiency and increased productivity to deliver integrated and automated IT management offerings for hybrid environments.

Land rush for iPhone business apps

Despite early resistance from corporate bodies, Apple's iPhone has been wedging its way into many businesses, according to Investors.

IT departments "have been trying to keep the iPhone out, but the product has become so popular that they now realise that they need to support it," says Kathryn Weldon, principal analyst for enterprise mobility at market research firm Current Analysis.

The need for support has triggered a land rush for iPhone business applications.
