Hammerer Aluminium Industries extends SAP investment with more rapid analysis in QlikView

QlikView (NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in Business Discovery - user-driven business intelligence (BI), today announced that Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI), one of the leading European manufacturers of high-quality aluminium profiles, is using QlikView enterprise-wide to help drive a range of business efficiencies across production, finance, research and development, operations, and logistics and distribution.

Leveraging 30 different QlikView applications, HAI can now accurately analyse its data up-to-the-minute - from fundamental questions in its Management Cockpit to specialised departmental evaluations in terms of productivity, loss of material, equipment availability, and sales and margins.

"The main reason for the introduction of the QlikView Business Discovery platform was the rapid, visible results, charts, and performance analysis in a few hours as well as a consistent KPI system," said IT Director Manfred Schrattenecker.

"QlikView's high functionality, ease of use, and interactive visual environment gives accessibility to HAI to help users make more informed and timely business decisions," said David Telford, Senior Director of Global Market Development for Manufacturing and High Tech at QlikTech.

"This is a great example of how QlikView is putting information in the hands of the people on the frontline - those planning and managing production, buying materials, planning supply and demand, managing quality, inventory, or compliance. This is key to enforcing a culture of fact-based decision-making in the manufacturing industry."
