Mitel, the trusted provider of IP communications solutions, today announced that the Makkah Hilton & Towers is to deploy a Mitel communications solution, including a Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) supporting 45 contact centre agents.
The Mitel 3300 ICP will also act as a gateway to its legacy equipment that services 1 400 end-users.
The project is to be implemented by Al Ofoq CCTS, a Mitel Gold Solution Provider located in Jeddah in the western region of the kingdom.
"Mitel`s reputation in this particular market segment was a considerable factor in our decision to replace the existing German-made telephony system, particularly in light of the fact that Mitel`s solution was able to provide backwards-compatibility and forward-scalability.
"In essence, this will provide the optimal combination for our needs in terms of investment protection and advanced features and functionality that we expect," said Ibrahim Atwa, Director of Business Development, Makkah Hilton & Towers.
Overlooking the Holy Haram and Kaabah, Makkah Hilton & Towers offers a wide variety of rooms and suites to satisfy the needs of guests. All rooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access and each has a fabulous view on holy Kaabah, Haram or the ancient city.
The complex also boasts two fully air-conditioned prayer halls, each with a capacity for 10 000 people. The complex also includes ballrooms accommodating up to 450 guests and an onsite shopping mall with 450 shops. A business centre has been recently inaugurated to take care of the needs of business people while performing their Hajj or umrah.
"Our performance in Makkah is another example of our commitment to the hospitality sector in KSA and to Makkah in particular. This holy city is so unique that it is never affected by guest fluctuations or seasonal changes due to the ongoing pilgrimage and umrah visits throughout the year. We are delighted that Mitel`s advanced communications solutions can be part of this prestigious hotel`s large expansion drive and look forward to extending the solution throughout the complex," said Hisham Amili, Mitel GM, GCC.
