Qorus, the Document Generation Accelerator for Microsoft SharePoint, has been chosen by Exeter Friendly Society, the United Kingdom's seventh largest friendly society (or mutual insurance company) by net income, to replace its existing document generation software.
The decision to replace the company's existing document generation software was due to the high maintenance costs and annual licence fee. Exeter Friendly chose Qorus for its low total cost of ownership and its integration with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office. Qorus' tight integration with Microsoft Word contributes to its low cost of ownership by eliminating the need for specialist skills for the creation and updating of templates.
“Business end-users are able to create and make changes to templates in the familiar environment of Microsoft Word,” says Lee Child, MD of Qorus. “The combined Qorus and SharePoint solution will enable Exeter Friendly to manage its entire document generation and distribution process more efficiently by incorporating standard SharePoint features such as version control and workflow.”
More than 70 Microsoft Word document templates will be updated in Qorus to increase the speed and accuracy with which Exeter Friendly's client communications are generated, such as settlement letters, renewal letters, policy summaries, terms of acceptance, and policy schedules. Qorus will also enable Exeter Friendly to generate these documents either as bulk e-mails, bulk prints or as individual documents on demand.
